THE RECYCLING PROCESS

Recycling is a process to change (waste) materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" waste hierarchy that we at Essex Auto Salvage adhere to.

Recyclable materials include many kinds of glass, metal, plastic, textiles, and electronics. Materials to be recycled are either brought to our vehicle recycling center or picked up from your property by our friendly driver. The car is then sorted, cleaned, and reprocessed into new materials bound for manufacturing. Our strict environmental policies we implement are one of the many factors that set us apart from the competition.

THE DEPOLLUTION PROCESS

OIL
WHAT TO DO WITH OIL

Oil filters are recycled into steel products such as cars, construction materials, cans and house hold appliances

BATTERIES
WHAT TO DO WITH BATTERIES

Batteries are recycled in an eco-friendly way and the lead and silver are extracted to be reused to develop new products as well as the water being neutralized and purified.

WHEELS
WHAT TO DO WITH WHEELS

The tyres are removed and are used for the construction of roads and this is a great way for us to follow the latest EU legislation when it comes to disposing of car materials rather than sending them to landfill. The Metal rims are recycled and turned into various metal products.

LIQUID
WHAT TO DO WITH LIQUID

All liquids are recycled by following the Environment Agencies guidelines.
